C & J had a big wedding planned and originally booked me with a 7 hour package, they were flying in from interstate and their wedding was going to Big and beautiful! My next communication with them was that plans had changed, they’ve had some devastating family news and have had to move their wedding sooner than was intended. They therefor had to scale back considerably. As always, I completely understood and sympathised with their situation and as always, I tried my best to accommodate them where possible. Luckily, I had their new date available and just like that the wedding was moved months earlier and changed to a Hyde Park wedding, with far fewer people.
In spite of all the changes, their wedding was beautiful and extra special. They were blessed by the presence of their most loved family members and had a very emotional celebration.
We are so lucky in Perth that more likely than not, you will have favourable weather on your wedding day and with all the beautiful spaces/locations available, you are more than likely able to find a spot that’s pretty enough to host your “I do’s”. Chloe and James chose their favourite spot in Hyde park and with the help of their lovely celebrant, Joyce Mathers, was able to tie the knot with a fraction of the planning time than a full-scale wedding.
Hyde Park is generally a very beautiful and therefor very busy park, but it still has its quieter corners which on a weekday, is even quieter. Also, if you like green, then Hyde Park is definitely the park for you! With many paved walkways, Hyde park is also easy to get around with you are wearing high heels, like wedding shoes. So, after the formalities and congratulations, we headed for an easy stroll through the park and stopped in some of the prettiest spots to take some photos before we headed to the beach to get some final sunset photos.
Apart from the wish to have their closest family with them, the only other wish Chloe and James had was to have some photos taken on/by the beach and again luckily enough, Perth has some of the best beaches around. I felt the best and closest beach to Hyde Park for this occasion was City beach (I know there technically are prettier beach around but no point wasting time driving up/down the coast when I knew I could make City beach work one of it’s quieter bits). We had a beautiful sunset that day and managed to end their photo coverage on a true high. As I so often say, all that matters at the end of the day is the love between everyone, the rest are just ad-ons.
Enjoy some of the highlights from Chloe and James’ micro wedding.
